I've noticed this rule rarely gets enforced.
To my amazement, many coaches in the youth leagues are unaware of the rule!
Helmet contact rules have been in place since 1976, and if a kid learned to use his helmet growing up in the 70's, he's coaching it in the 90's!!!
The helmet contact rules 'violations' seems like it just lingers on generation after generation. Recently we had it called during a youth game, and the offending coach went ballistic, dang near got a 15 for his reaction .... "Hey refs, let the kids play, don't take the game away from them".
Touchy subject I realize but I'd be interested in hearing how often you guys see it enforced.
This is definately a rule that needs administration emphasis. Thankfully its a "Point of emphasis" this season"
